PRODUCT SHELF LIFE
All products are shipped with at least 3 months of shelf life remaining. If you have specific shelf life requirements for your order, please state them in the order notes. A representative will reach out to you if we cannot meet your request.
Most Orders are processed and shipped out the day the order is received.
Orders placed after 2 pm PST will be processed the following work day.
TEMPERATURE SENSITIVE PRODUCTS / SHIPPING OVER A WEEKEND
By default, products that require refrigeration for maximum shelf life will not be shipped over a weekend (i.e. on Thursday using 2-day service or Friday using 2-day or overnight service). However, these products can be shipped over a weekend if you plan on using them within 30 days. If you would like your refrigerated products shipped over a weekend, please state this in your order notes.

WHY CAN’T I SHIP GROUND?
The store removes the Ground shipping option when a customer is ordering a temperature sensitive product and isn’t close enough to the California office to guarantee delivery within two business days. If a customer hasn’t entered their shipping address, then the store will show the ground option in the cart, but remove it if applicable once the shipping address has been entered.
APPLYING FOR CREDIT / USING A PURCHASE ORDER NUMBER
New customers are encouraged to initially pay with credit cards. However, they may apply for credit via this application. Please complete the application and email it to firstname.lastname@example.org. The application must be approved before an initial order can be shipped using a purchase order number as payment.
WEB STORE DISCOUNT
Not all items receive the 10% discounted web store price. On the website, when a price is labeled “Online Price”, it includes the discount.
The actual shipping costs may be lower than the value listed below. The actual cost will be sent to you after the completion of your order.
Shipping costs do not include the costs of shipping the badges/media back to the lab.
SHIPPING ORDERS USING NON-DEFAULT SHIPPING COMPANIES AT THE CUSTOMER’S REQUEST
The shipping costs provided by the online store apply to our default shipper, which is UPS for Ground shipments and FedEx for Express shipments.
- If a customer needs a shipment sent via another carrier, they must provide an account number for that carrier. No shipping fees will appear on the invoice from Assay Technology, Inc. if the shipping is charged to a customer’s shipping account.
- If a customer requires a different carrier and they do not have or do not provide an account number for that carrier, the estimated shipping cost provided by our online store is not to be considered accurate. If the shipping company charges a pick up fee, this fee will be included on the customer’s invoice. For example, UPS will charge a pick up fee in this situation. During order processing, the carrier will be contacted to determine a shipping and handling cost and the invoice will reflect this updated cost.
For shipments to ALASKA, HAWAII, PUERTO RICO, and INTERNATIONAL locations, we cannot guarantee Next Day shipping. For shipments to HAWAII and ALASKA, due to the remoteness of some locations, surcharges may apply. For INTERNATIONAL shipments, depending on location, surcharges may apply. For INTERNATIONAL orders, any customs duties & taxes are the responsibility of the recipient.
SURCHARGES FOR SPECIAL SHIPPING SERVICES
The special surcharges below are not automatically accounted for by the store:
Add $21 for delivery on Saturday. Add $25 if package is shipped on Saturday (this can only be done under special circumstances). Add $6.50 for delivery to a residence (this applies to any residential address, whether it is indicated on the order or not).
Once the Shipping and Billing addresses have been entered, the store will calculate the sales tax, when applicable. The tax listed by the web store should be considered an estimate. The final tax rate will be applied when the order is confirmed and invoiced by Assay Technology. For INTERNATIONAL orders, any duties & taxes are the responsibility of the recipient. IMPORTANT! PRODUCT RETURNS
Products that require refrigeration cannot be returned to inventory and therefore cannot be refunded. Unused, non-refrigerated product with adequate shelf life remaining may be returned for a return fee. Customers must contact us before returning products to obtain a return authorization number.
