Introducing Our New Hydrogen Peroxide Badge

We are very excited to announce our newest product, the 527 Hydrogen Peroxide badge! The 527 will be replacing our previous hydrogen peroxide badge, the 587.

This badge collects hydrogen peroxide on a quartz fiber filter coated with titanium oxysulfate (TiOSO4) and is analyzed by UV-Vis Spectrophotometry via a modified OSHA Method 1019.

Why replace the 587?

Anyone who is familiar with our other badges will have noticed that the 587 utilized a very different design, as it was our only badge that was not manufactured and analyzed in-house. By switching to our well-known TraceAir II design, the 527 improves upon the 587 in several ways:

  • Adds a cap for more accurate starting/stopping of sampling event.
  • No longer uses the delicate sampling membrane found on the 587.
  • Analysis will now be performed entirely at our lab, improving rush analysis flexibility.
  • Greater capacity (587 at 80 ppm-hours vs 527 at 224 ppm-hours).
  • Maximum recommended hold time increased from 2 weeks to 4 weeks.
  • Now offered in non-prepaid/media-only options for our customers who perform their own analysis.
