Technical Presentations from AIHA Connect 2025

Every year, Assay Technology makes technical presentations at the industry conference for the American Industrial Hygiene Association, AIHA Connect.  This year, our Chief Technical Officer, Gus Manning, provided two discussions that will propel personal monitoring for chemical exposures in the workplace into the next phase.

At the Innovation Station, Gus did a deep dive on How Many Samples to Collect.  His work is grounded in the AIHA’s Exposure Assessment Committee’s finding that IH practitioners may underestimate exposures when reviewing workplace exposures, because work place exposures tend to have high variations that follow a skewed (lognormal) pattern, rather than a normal (Gaussian) pattern. Check back to our website for a 3 part instructional blog post.

On the Main Stage, Gus provided cutting edge information on Nano Sampling Badges. Assay Technology will be offering new sampling technologies for collecting nanoparticles and nanograms of OVs beginning in Fall 2025.
